This movie sounds like one of those groan-inducing parody movies... But it's serious? Next on your list should be In Time with Justin Timberlake. Probably not as bad as the Immortals, but it is awful. They take what could be a good sci fi plot and use it as an opportunity to make as many dumb puns with the word "time" as possible. So many dumb puns, I'm convinced that the script was written by the same people who write headlines for Calgary Sun. Hilarious. I expected this movie to be a visually stunning, effects heavy, slash em up kinda movie going into it and thats pretty much what i got aside from some dry portions of the film. I'm sure they weren't aiming for an academy award with this one, or they might have gotten some bigger names alongside Rourke. Though i think he did a good job being a ruthless dictator. The fight scenes in this movie were awesome. to highlight one of my faves: Theseus stabs a baddie with his spear, proceeds to cut his spear with his own sword freeing up a sharp stick to stab the next bad guy with, and then does it two more times. AWESOME. Also i love when theres hot naked babes in my action flicks. And now i wish i saw it in 3D. Keep up the good work man. Good review joel. The story dragged on a bit and I couldn’t help but think that if the writing was a tweaked a little better, this would have definitely been a very solid film. Instead it was just fun and pretty to look at. Good review. Check out my site when you get the chance.
